  • What is Needed to Add Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator to Trailer With Disc Surge Brakes
  • So long as your 2003 Crownline currently has hydraulic disc brakes, you can absolutely add the HydraStar Vented Marine Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator for Disc Brakes # HS481-8067. It will do a great job of giving you the stopping power needed so your boat doesn't get pulled down the ramp, and since you have surge brakes and brake lines already, there's only a couple of other things you'll need, starting with a breakaway kit, the Hopkins Engager Push-To-Test Trailer Breakaway Kit with...

  • Complete Wiring for Lights, Electric Brakes and Controller for a 94 GMC 1/2 Ton Truck and Trailer
  • Lets start with your 1994 GMC 1/2 Ton Truck. You will need to start with the # 118315 4-Way connector. Once the 4-Way is installed, see instructions link, you will need the Brake Controller Installation Kit, # ETBC7, and a brake controller. I recommend the P3 Brake Controller, # 90195, which is one of the best controllers we carry. We have detailed instructions for installation of the controller and the wiring kit, see links, and we have installtion videos of a brake controller and wiring...

  • Timbren Spacers For A 1987 GMC Pickup With A 2-1/2" Lift
  • Yes, there are spacers that can be used with the Timbren # TGMRTTK30 kit on your 1987 GMC Pickup with a 2-1/2" lift. We recommend using two of the 1" spacers # TA25723-90AD00 on each side. The idea is to have a 1/2" to 1-1/2" gap between the bottom of the spring and the contact point. The Timbren # TGMRTTK30 is 7-1/8" tall overall so adding 2" of spacers should leave about a 7/8" gap which will be perfect. Keep in mind that the bolts that come with the Timbren kit may not be long enough...

  • Brake Controller and Trailer Wiring Connector on a 1984 GMC 7000 Truck
  • To install a trailer connector on your 1984 GMC 7000 you'll need to hardwire in a 4-way connector # 119250KIT and then add our # ETBC7 kit. This will provide the 7-way trailer connector on the truck and all the necessary wiring to connect a brake controller. For a brake controller I suggest the Prodigy P2 # 90885 because of how reliable and easy to use it is. The P2 will need to be hardwired in the cab of the truck using the included pigtail. To hardwire the P2: Black to 12V power White...
